Qwan-ki-do, Quan-khi-do
'Way of the fist and energy'. A Vietnamese spectacular and acrobatic martial
art, slightly similar to Karate. Founded after the Second World War by the
Vietnamese Pham Xuan Tong. Apart from the empty hand, the Vietnamese sword is
also used. It is strongly influenced by the Chinese Dao-philosophy that tries to
unite pure physical energy with the universal energy Ki. Training consists of
exercises, freestyle fighting (Thao Quyen) and traditional forms (Dan Tu Do).
Knew a very strong influence in France.
